Kinesthetic Anatomy of the Moving Body

70 Euro for both days, 40 Euro single dayThis two day workshop is about learning to activate your muscles against the resistance of your body, to begin to understand, through kinesthetic sensing the workings of the musculoskeletal system inside our bodies. We will review principles of muscle function and conditioning as well as learn specific choreographies created as a means of movement integration.
We will also explore essential movement skills such as;
- centering on our vertical axis
- counter-balancing limb motion through the spine and trunk
- adapting to the ground through our feet
- reaching into the kinesphere with our hands
- conserving energy through efficient breathing
